I agree that the UK delivered pivotal prog like ELP, Genesis, Pink Floyd, King Crimson and Yes and great bands like BJH, Camel, Fruupp, England, Rare Bird, Gracious, Colosseum (I and II), Marillion, Twelfth Night, Pallas, IQ, etc., etc. but let's not forget that other countries reacted with unique prog like Italy (Museo Rosenbach, PFM, Le Orme, Banco), Germany (Grobschnitt, Neuschwanstein, Ramses, Eloy, Jane), Holland (Focus, Earth & Fire, Ekseption, Finch, Ayreon), France (Ange, Shylock, Versailles, Edhells), Skandinavia (Anekdoten, Anglagard, The Flower Kings), Spain (Triana, Cai, Mezquita, Crack, Iceberg, Carmen) and bands like Brasilian Bacamarte, Hungarian Solaris, Japanese Cosmos Factory, Gerard, Ars Nova and Outer Limits, Austrian Eela Craig, Belgian Machiavel and Chilean Los Jaivas. To be honest: the UK bands were great, perhaps the best but I still enjoy all those non-UK bands almost every day, they have embellished the progrock so much!!
Dear Progman: I hope that you will discover these bands instead of only acting like a chauvinistic proghead!
