I've gone for Crimso in this round. Lizard is just amazing.

ELP by a mile. What a killer debut album! Trespass, Benefit and Time and a Word a distant second. Floyd and Crimson bringing up the rear.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Trespass. Timeless
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

Atom Heart, one of my all time favorites.

Considering Lizard, Atom Heart Mother and Trespass. It is a tough choice for me.

Now this really is a tough one, very difficult to choose.

The only one I'd quickly discount is Time and A Word.  The 2 KC albums are among my favourites of theirs (even though I'm not a huge fan), Trespass is quality whilst AHM has moments of true genius.  The AHM Suite is the best piece of music from any of these albums but the album is of varied quality.

At a push I'm going for the ELP debut.  If you asked me say which one of these I fancied playing right now (truth be told I've not listened to any of them in ages) that's the one I'd pull from the rack.  Come to think of it I might just do that...........

ELP's debut is absolutely stunning and it gets my vote.
Time And A Word and Trespass are not very far behind, though, in my personal top 3.

Atom. It hasn't been my first prog album, but it introduced mr to 20 and more minutes long tracks and together with Elp, it started my interests into classical music
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Easy pick for me: Genesis' Trespass, but I do love Crimson's Lizard and ELP's self-titled debut.

Atom Heart Mother for me. Though Trespass is a more consistent album and as a whole a better one, but I just can't vote against the song Atom Heart Mother, there's nothing I like even remotely as much on Trespass (or any of the other albums on the list - even though the songs "In the Wake of Poseidon" and the duo "Prince Rupert Awakes / Bolero" are really wonderful too).
