An interesting development that Songs' and 'Passion Play are running neck to neck. With the Prog Archives crowd, I can understand why Thick' was left off the list (no sh%t, Sherlock).

Songs from the Wood easily!
One of their best albums for me, but mostly because I'm a fan of English Folk Rock as well.
And after that, Mistrel in the Gallery. Brilliant album!
If anybody wants please visit: http://www.gfreedomathina.blogspot.com/

This is my Blog mostly about Rock music, but also a few other things as well.

You are most welcome!

Thank you. :)

A Passion Play has been my #1 favorite Tull ever since it came out, and is one of the very first things I'd grab if headed for the proverbial desert island. TAAB is #2 but isn't on the list, and Minstrel would be #3.

I made my own version of Too old and it's one of Tulls best now. Could have been a fine album
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

This, and then Heavy Horses not too far behind.
Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

I went with A Passion Play despite that horrible The Hare Who Lost His Spectacles section.

Given the choices i'll go with Crest Of A Knave-a few excellent tunes on that LP.

Songs from the Wood

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

" ... with kitchen prose and gutter rhymes."
Songs From The Wood is second only to Thick As A Brick in my view
(And still, much as I try, I can't get into A Passion Play - inexplicably ...)
