It was great while it lasted. Thanks for doing it (even with all the impossible polls).
It was fun and it allowed me to check out some music i hadn't heard in a while. Always great to hear your opinions and everyone's thoughts for that matter on these albums.

Finally decided to vote for Thinking Plague.  I don't listen to it as much nowadays, but I'll never forget how much it blew my mind and was probably my favorite album of the 90s.

This is a battle between Shub and SMM for me (with 1313 close behind). Yet...how can I not give it to Shub...one of the best albums I own if I really think about it. So angular...so noisy...so awesome.

Wish you were here is one of the very few albums that I would pick over Up the Downstair.  Sure you will understand Steven.

There are a number of five star albums in this list in my books.

I think my faves would be in this order (though it's very close between some and a couple I should re-visit):
1313
Les Mortes vont Vites
Maltid
Phaedra
In Extremis
Wish You Were Here
The Magus (haven't listened to it in years, but I liked it)
Up the Downstair (which I've only heard once)

Strong list..

I think i counted four 5 star albums for myself, and i agree with you about that other Shub Niggurath album.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

I'll give Thinking Plague a much needed vote.  The second half of the album sort of slows up a bit for me, but the first half is just precisely amazing.
