Any news on this? I've been looking forward to this for a year Snowtorch was great and I suspect this one will be too.
Kinda hoping for some "RPI" sneaked in the backdoor like there was on Number Seven with Storia Senti Man that ending is phenomenal!

Along with a few bands you guys are one of the "new" prog-related bands that really got my attention (of course I'm still looking forward new releases from old medallions of prog/hard rock).
I won't lie, I have high expectations for this new album.
I have seen some of my favorite bands live, including many genres, and it is a pleasure to just know I share a bit of space with a artist as refined and competent as you.

Hey man, work at whatever rate gets us good music. We'll be patient. Definitely appreciate any updates, though.

Sorrry folks for the DEEEEEEEEEEEELAAAAAAAAAAAY.. Please forward your hate mail to my engineer and producer! As for ratings on this site. The album isn't even mixed. There's no way anyone has heard it so ratings are just trolls (not new trolls!) However, I vow when I get back from our gig up north in Canada that we will get TO IT!
The album is like 98% recorded and just needs a mix (which is really not a "just" cuz that is always a long arduous process...
Please be patient and know that if you're frustrated, I'm like 10x as vexed...

Phideaux's post from few days back: Sorry, Jimmy, we were hoping (counting on it, actually) to have the
shiny new title available at Terra Incognita! But, this just means
we'll have to put on some record release party/show when the album comes
out...
As for Double CD -- I figured I had done every silly overblown,
pretentious gimmick in music but the double album. Isn't the double
album the height of folly? It's like Icarus' wax wings... And so, as I
started working on Infernal I realized there was a lot more material
than just one album and so I let it spread its wings. Now, we have too
much music to fit on 2 LPs. It's approximately 98ish minutes. There is
one song that has been cut (and would benefit from the use of
"destructive" editing to erase it completely) another that was recorded
as a bonus track using some of the album motifs. A third chunk of music
that will go was previously a linking "transition" that I'm now
thinking harms the song it links to, so I'm going to do an odd ball fade
out/space echo noise transition instead and let the new song just
emerge beautifully and effortlessly out of the fog. This also helps
take a 26 minute "side" of the album down to a more manageable 23
minutes!
So, there are many things left to iron out.
Also, because Doomsday Afternoon has been out of print for about a year,
we are making an upgraded new version to release simultaneously with
Infernal. In fact, Doomsday Afternoon and a remixed "re-envisioned"
version of The Great Leap will be out on vinyl as a result. Because
both those albums are 60ish minutes, they are 3 sided LPs and therefore
will be released together as a 3 LP version (sharing side 3's). Only
The Great Leap will have some bonus track material (to round out a
slightly short "side 3".
Therefore, prepare for a simultaneous issue of:
Infernal (2LP Gatefold)
Infernal (2CD in mini LP gatefold)
AND
The Great Leap/Doomsday Afternoon (3 LPs in 2 Gatefold covers)
The Great Leap (CD in mini LP gatefold)
Doomsday Afternoon (CD in mini LP gatefold)

I have alerted the admins. It's likely that the current ratings will be deleted

Reviews based on illegal copies are usually deleted by the admins. I don't see any review currently. Some people has "rated only" the album and it may be trolling, we can't know but it's very likely as Xavier wouldn't send copies to people used to "rate only", I think.
There's a forum thread in which we are used to report this kind of things so the site admins can take their actions. I will post a line there

What's with all the ratings coming up for the album? Has someone actually heard it?
I'm new to this site, so apologies for this otherwise silly question.

I love Doomsday Afternoon (my wife likes it very much too), and has since bought all things Phideaux (well musically only). It's been a while since Infernal made the Most Popular Album (yesterday), and it has stayed there since. Is there any update information on this anywhere, i.e. actual release date, pre-order, how to buy? I checked Phideaux's official bloodfish site and this has not even made it to discography section.
