Love Tool and Rush but this is extremely uneven so I'd thought I'd even it up.

Whoops, how did I miss this one? Well, the right band won anyway. ![Wink](smileys/smiley2.gif) But Tool are great, too, I wouldn't really have wanted to vote against them...

I'd pick Tool by miles. I find their music more complex, creative, emotional, and overall far more superior. I can't hate on Rush though. |
I getcha man. For me, Tool was a far more deep and emotional experience. I listen to Rush and think "pretty good" I hear Lateralus or 10 000 Days from beginning to end, it's just a mind blowing journey that leaves this feeling with me even after the record is over. Rush just never did that for me.

Not telling .. yorkie whistles "the universe divided as the heart and mind collided , the people left unguided for so many troubled years" ... and says nothing

Not a big Rush fan. I get quite tired of them, very fast.
Tool on the other hand, had me at hello.

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Rush, Tool is great, I've really been getting into them lately..but they've got a long while before they reach Rush's status in prog.

Rush all the way!
Just about everything Tool is annoys me. MJK, blech. The mechanicalness, and just about everything about their music... *heaves*

Ah, finally some people who share my opinion!
I think we're going to have to separate the 70s-80s bands and the 90s-00s bands to give any modern bands a fair shot.

Never got into Tool (I tried) Rush for me this poll ,At this stage in the poll Rush are really taking Tool to the cleaners I'm a little surprised in the outcome as I know Tool has legions of fans , maybe they haven't come out of their woodwork's yet.
