Its funny how you mention "expensive" .Because If i were American or European , I would be glad with the low prices you pay for your records and the variety you have to buy!!!

My most expensive choices were:

Quadrophenia (digipack) $ 120 (U$$ 40)
Welcome back my friends...$ 77 (U$$ 23)
A hard days night $ 60 ( U$$ 18)
In the land of grey and pink (U$$ 15)

Considering my income is not in  US dollars those were quite expensive.

Oh! you don't go too far these days with our miserable $ US dollarLOLOuchOuch....has almost no value when you exchange it even with Cambodian moneyLOL

But the exchange rate for my national currency goes like this: 3.1 pesos= 1 US dollar.I'd take your miserable dollar anyday!!!

My big pleasure is to get my favorite music in a Japanese mini-LP CD
so the most expensive were ASH RA TEMPEL-1st album...US $ 40.
                                                   Barclay James Hravest-Once Again   ..US  $ 32
AL KOOPER- You never know....       US$ 30
                                                   Soft Machine....1st album                   US $ 25

But you can beat that...just try to buy a MAGMA CD on Amazon!!!LOL

Most expensive albums i've bought:

Symphony X - The Odyssey ($26. It's a pretty good album, but not sure if it's worth that much)
Frank Zappa - The Grand Wazoo ($26. AWESOME ALBUM!!! Worth it, but i wish it was cheaper)
Focus - Hamburger Concerto ($21. AWESOME ALBUM!!! Worth every penny)
Kebnekaise - III (Vinyl, $19,50. I guess it was worth it, but it feels sour when i see it go for lower prices on the internet)

Oye, Cacho! It was so expensive because it came from outer space? LOL
oh! That's why! Somebody could have told me.. Though I bought in Peru, not in my place. Ivan, your CD shops rock!..though pittily they're all imported

A space object landed somewhere in the Pampas (in a Fireball) and young cacho, bemused by his youthful curiosity , couldn't resist opening the core . The Prog bug from Cygnus-X penetrated his body via the lungs and he has been a proghead ever since, unbeknownst to him infected for life . LOL

great story! hahaha.

Now we can tease him forever , things like Cacho the Andromeda Strain's  latest victim. Or Cacho the X-Filer !LOL or ET Cacho. Darn I could go on here for a while. It also may explain his Supertramp fixation LOL

Oldfield 's Elements 4 CD box is well worth the expense (solid plastic packaging!) and off course the Roxy Music compilation "The Thrill of It All" is another winner though pricey but the quality , the design , the info is , as usual , very classy.

Spock's Beard - The Light limited artwork edition (number 825 of 3000)

That cost me a pretty penny, though not as much as I would have expected! The package is as big as my damn head!

Marillion's deluxe edition of Marbles was pretty pricey at around $40+, but well worth it. One of the best discs I own.

however, the new deluxe edition of Happiness Is The Road surpasses that in cost. I'm sure it'll be worth it.

Archives I from Genesis.  Incredible version of Suppers Ready and The Lamb in its entirety with Peter at the helm.  Worth every dollar.

In the early/mid 90's, with no Internet and only one big CD store in Lima, they sold the CD's at the prices they wanted, specially the ones from Europe or Asia, the most expensive ones I bought were:

  1. Rick Wakeman's Criminal Record Japanese Limited Edition: US$ 60.00
  2. Triumvirat 's Illusions on a Double Dimple: US$ 46.00
  3. Triumvirat's Spartacus: US% 46.00
  4. Pink Floyd's DSOTM With Gold border: US$ 45.00
  5. PFM's Per un Amico: US$ 40.00
