Definitely "Heart of the Sunrise", with that stellar drumming performance by Bruford. "Awaken", as good as it is, goes on a tad too long IMHO.

I've always found Heart of the Sunrise to be quite boring, whereas Awaken is the best thing that Yes pressed to vinyl that wasn't on Close to the Edge or didn't steal a title from a Robert Heinlein novel..
Want to guess how I voted?

My thoughts exactly.

I've always been unable to take "Awaken" seriously. Yes, I know it carries you away when you hear a good live performance, but I just can't think of it without a shudder. As soon as I picture Jon singing: "High vibration go on...", I think: O, sod off... I'm sorry if this is one of your favourite pieces, but it's just too much for my Personal Bullsh*t Detector. And the guitar solo on "Sound Chaser" is far superior.

"Heart" is on an album filled with exemplary songs. "Awaken" is without a doubt the brightest moment on an otherwise average album. Both are great but the latter tune made "Going for the One."

I vote for Awaken, I can't believe it's losing so badly but on second thought, Heart of the Sunrise might be the best thing they did until they released Close to the Edge.

I love them both. There are parts of HOTS that I like better than Awaken. But as a whole I have to go with Awaken. The slow part just blows me away.
