but NOT Symphony X, Gordian Knot, Shadow Gallery and Pain of Salvation!

and especially not Ark!

they are rather out of the beaten line.

Actually, you can never say, that the style of Shadow Gallery... etc is very similar to Dream Theater one, but in fact some riffs and melodies (quite often) bear great resemblance to their masterpices BUT what's most imortant they are enriched with new brilliant solutions.That's why we love all of Them!

Actually, I dislike DT, however, Amagrama (a band from Argentina) plays fantastic symphonic progressive rock with some heavy touches of progressive metal.
