Ouch BAM! Hard right jab by siLLy PuPPy.

But no.

It's not "too complex for the uninclined"... it's just utter bollocks.

Anybody who says some act or another is awful usually just doesn't get it and instead of taking the time to let the  musical magic unravel comes up with some simplistic stupid statement like this.

I didn't start out like Messhuggah but i was curious enough to what all the fuss was about and after listening for a while it really sunk in and now they are one of my favorite extreme metal bands.

As far as picking fights, i couldn't care less what anyone else likes but this is quite the hilarious thread. Maybe there should be a new category for music like this: music too complex for the uninclined to enjoy

I won't claim to be a 'fan' of theirs. I don't like 'death growl'. I love vinyl. 'I' Special Edition is available on LP. I bought it coz I admire technical and heavy music. I got this - actually, more so. I worship at the altar of Magma, so I can 'accept' the voice here. No other style of singing can fit this music. Abrasive as all-hell, I just love the fury and force at which these guys play. Not an album I spin every day - and I enjoy Kajagoogoo lots more, but to call these guys 'utter s.h.i.t.e.' is just plain idiocy (is there such a word ? ).
I do not like Death Growl, but I have no problem enjoying the album I have.

Um, not really.

Just because you disagree with peoples opinions online doesn't automatically make them a "troll" (urgh, I hate that term).

Ah, I got it - especially the comment about Wonder Woman's "tits" in the thread about Captain Marvel & Aquaman.
You're a cave troll, aren't you?

Time to ready my "special mixtape", then.

First album of theirs I heard was Chaosphere, and it baffled the sh*t out of me.  Got rid of it.

Decided to try again with catch thirtythr33, and that was the one that clicked.

Have since acquired Nothing, I and obZen.  All fine discs.

But I have not re-acquired Chaosphere.

Just because of this thread, I went to my local library and rented three (3) albums of this band.
The next logical step is to buy said albums in the limited edition format, go to the concerts (and posting some videos on PA), getting some autographs (and posting them on PA), and so on, and so on... Evil Smile JUST FOR YOU, DEAR FORUMITES.

They should collaborate with William Shatner.

I reviewed that album, I did give it a fair few listens, to give it a chance. Whole album sounded like one riff all the way through.
