In 1998 Pip Pyle released a solo album named SEVEN YEAR ITCH. The line up was formed by John Greaves, Phil Miller, Dave Stewart, Hugh Hopper, Didier Malherbe, Alain Guillard and Pierre Marcault amonsgt other awsome musicians... and you're right, the final name of the band was THE SOFT HEAP even when the original idea was to named SOFT HEAD...

Elton Dean (former Soft Machine member) founded the band SOFT HEAD in 1977 with Hugh Hopper and Alan Gowen (Gilgamesh keyboardist)...

In the early 70s Chris Cutler formed the Ottawa Music Company with sometime Egg/Hatfields keyboards player Dave Stewart.
