Nice list, especially the Genesis, Pink Floyd, and Camel. Don't know if I've heard Yessongs. This is a live album, correct? I can't remember.

It is although the production is a bit sh*t even for a live albumWink
I actually prefer Yesshows with superb renditions of Ritual and Gates Of Delirium.

I prefer Yesshows too. It's just better all round
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

I generally try to pick comp albums and/or box sets for these things but I'll restrain myself from doing so this time.

KC - Discipline
Agalloch - The Mantle
Henry Cow - Western Culture
VDGG - Pawn Hearts
FZ - Make A Jazz Noise Here
P Brotzmann - Machine Gun
Soft Machine - Third
Matching Mole - S/t
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

just 2 days ago or so i thought of creating similar thread Wink

1. Metallica - S&M (is just HUGEE!! best and coolest bombast Big smile )
2. Genesis  - Lamb Lies Down.. (feels like home Heart )
3. Yes - Keys to Ascension 2 ( most touching...)
4. Petrucci & Rudes - An Evening With... (memories...Cry)
5. Leprous - Tall Poppy Syndrome (sometimes i want to feel my anger and scream at my inner deamons! Angry plus this is just ultra! )
6. Pineapple Thief - Variations On A Dream (just soothing and comfortable)
7. Karnivool - Sound Awake (party in the sands Approve )
8. Frequency Drift - Over (beautiful female vocals to fill the void^^)

but i would probably switch at least 1 album for a decent progressive psytrance mix Tongue
It's just a ride... <3

2. Jerry Lee Lewis - Live At The Star Club. (best live album ever!)
3. Bach - Brandenburg Concertos
4. Boredoms - Pop Tatari
5. The Fall - Peel Sessions boxset (cheating, but hey)
6. Motorhead - No Sleep Til Hammersmith
7. Can - Tago Mago
8. Focus - 3

Ask me again tomorrow and half these would be replaced.

yep! Box sets are definitely cheating big time! LOL  But you reminded me no Fall in my list and that will not do> So i would add Hex Enduction Hour or the Peel Box Set Wink too!!!

Motorhead is good choice too for those moments for head banging on the beach.
I just found the Fall Peel Box Set 2 days ago, and have been jumping for joy ever since.  I considered putting some Fall on my list (I considered both Palace of Swords Reversed and This Nation's Saving Grace), but they just missed the cut.

Well if I have electricity to listen to said albums I would bring along zero albums and just make 8 to listen to while I'm there.

Can - Future Days
Moody Blues - This is the Moody Blues (it's like 7 albums in one!)
Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Worn Copy
The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother
Firesign Theatre - Dear Friends (cause I'd need comedy too)
Carla Bley - Escalator over the Hill
The Kinks - The Kink Kronikles

I could probably survive on a desert island with those, at least for a couple of weeks.  Provided I also had access to food and water.
