85-84 Genesis on top now. Too fairly vote in this poll do you have to have heard a good amount of music from all the eras of both bands? If someone has only heard Gabriel era and only heard later Waters era Floyd, they are seeing things differently than someone who has heard all of both bands. I know that Gilmour/Collins led eras aren't the most popular, but I'm sure most PF fans here have heard Barrett/early Waters psychedelic era PF, right?

I have to say
I never understood Genesis music, never liked it, I dunno why, I've tried a lot of times, but still can get into my musical taste.
Pink Floyd, well, It was a kick on the balls when I heard about Wright's death
I dunno, I've always loved PF

Genesis Genesis Genesis Genesis Genesis...l. i cud go on forever. Im just 25 and i came across both bands recently and my word am i now a big fan of early genesis. Floyd ive always heard coz they are so popular. But genesis were literally a revelation and i HATE the way the general public thinks genesis are a cheesy 80s synth pop band....that was me until recently

The only reason I'm choosing Pink Floyd right now is because my stepdad plays in a tribute band. Otherwise it's a pretty even poll.

Extremely difficult - I love both bands, although I guess ultimately Pink Floyd has lasted longer for me.
It has always been an interesting question - what did Pink Floyd think of Genesis, and what did Genesis think of Pink Floyd?
