Admins, if you could kindly lock down this thread before I get nasty, I'd appreciate it. Sorry I can't respond to all the comments, but there's so much ignorance that I can't really stand it anymore.

What's so funny is that the US still bandies about invalid and inane logos, labels and slogans such as LIBERAL and CONSERVATIVE (usually only 2 , ever notice there are always only 2 choices in the USA?). In East Europe, Fascist and Communist still continues after 19 years of destitution? Go figure . The oldest form of manipulation is calling someone something that they ARE NOT! Boring!!!!!!!

The only possible reason I can think of is that he's very charismatic and therefore is able to fool many people. An example of this being when his pastor, Rev. Wright, gave that famous "GODD**N AMERICA" speech earlier this year and Obama said that he had no idea that his pastor was such a racist man. Now, Obama has been going to Wright's church for over 20 years, so how could he possibly say that he didn't know his pastor was racist after 20 years of attending mass there every Sunday? Sorry I can't give you a better answer, but you brought up a very good point yourself of how illogical it is that a man like him is even in this position. all the more reason to elect him.... we damn sure have seen the conservative leadership .. is nothing more than get rich while you can... and pander to the ignorant uneducated on the right who think that gay marriage is a f**king sin against God   Like god wasn't  a damn LIBERAL himself hahhahah..

if he was most liberal... then I say... more power to him.   You've been watching Fox too much... Liberal as a by-word for boogyman had it's day... 8 years of Bush killed that.

As long as the discussion remains civil, I don't see a problem. David (birdwithteeth) was just continuing the discussion and FinnForest didn't even respond in a decent manner. I don't see anything wrong with the discussion continuing in this fashion... but I agree with you if it goes beyond this point, then there's no point in continuing.

Why not take this opportunity to have a valid discussion though? Why couldn't FinnForest respond in a dignified manner?

I never claimed to be an intellectual David.  And I'm not looking to debate you, done enough of that in my life.
