I think that hybris and In The Court Of The Crimson King are two outstanding debut albums, but i went with Hybris, the best album i've ever listened

'Gentle Giant'. They have so few votes, as well as Frank Zappa's 'Freak Out!', yet they are two groundbreaking albums.

ELP, even though I don't think it counts because all three of them had already made debut albums with other groups.

King Crimson and Marillion stand out.
I voted for Script, there are such great songs on it. Each song is classic in my book.

From the list I vote for ITCOTCK and close behind Anglagard but you let alot of genres outside the box.

Amon Düül 2's "Phallus Dei" or Embryo's "Opal" come to my mind, as well
as Can's "Monster Movie". And how about Gryphon's first self-titled
album? Or Magma's?

Of those listed, Marillion's excellent Script for a Jester's Tear - by a mile. Most of the rest are very ordinary or really poor (I haven't heard Anglagard's Hybris)
Horslip's brilliant Happy to Meet, Sorry to Part annihilates all of them and Camel is as good as any.

I would have voted for High Tide's "Sea Shanties" as best debut album,
but it is not on the list. I really wonder why Gentle Giant did not get
more votes; their first album is excellent. So it gets my vote here.

I'm currently rediscovering Script For A Jester’s Tear, and it's pretty damn good.
I was absolutely in love with this album(as with all Fish Era Marillion) when I was younger.
