Frank Zappa. "Freak Out!" is probably the most experimental album that I have ever heard. Without that album there wouldn't even be Sgt. Pepper. Without Zappa, there wouldn't be prog. But still he hardly gets any credit for that  .

That was a tough one between Caravan and BOC, but since BOC was getting no love, I chose them. Arena was a close third.

Zappa has the most good albums, but both Darwin! and MDK are better albums that Zappa's best.
I'll go for Magma, they r00l!

caravan! I actually consider their debut to be one of their best albums!! despite all the masterpieces that came afterwards
