Mojo magazine this month reviewed it as a the trio, rather than a KC Projeckt.
I think the Projeckts should remain within the KC discography, as they are so closely related. However, this probably belongs as a separate entry, in much the same way that the Fripp collaborations with Eno & etc do.

^ Essential question. I don't know the answer. I've heard that the Projekcts are improvisations (hence certainly different to what you can hear on proper KC albums), but done by actual KC line-ups that we know from canonical KC releases. But we'll need expert opinion on this...

I have no idea. Is there a difference between King Crimson and "projekts?" |

Yes but IMO this music doesn't sound like any of the ways KC have sounded in the past. So the question is "is this a new KC sound"? Fripp says it's related to KC, from the same "gene pool" to quote him, so IMO that's not enough.

Few King Crimson albums are "similar" to King Crimson. Each lineup has a new sound, which to me makes them a prime example of Eclectic prog. |

The forthcoming Jakszyk, Fripp, Collins album was added as a King Crimson album, which I strongly disagree with. The album is a "ProjeKct", but does that make it "King Crimson" too? Discuss.
I'm reading Fripp's blog on a regular basis and he never referrs to the album in any other way than "Jakszyk, Fripp, Collins". Also, judging by the first released single, the music is not similar to KC, but sounds more like a Canterbury-flavoured Crossover prog.
