Now this is a fair and difficult contest. I'll have to think about it.

kayo dot. as much as i like meshuggah this is really no contest. Choirs of the Eye is one of maybe two albums that completely changed the way i listen to music. achingly beautiful, brutally powerful and constantly adventurous. then comes Dowsing Anemone. . . . just whoa.
meshuggah is great and i love what they do but. . . not against kayo dot.

Both experimental and unique metal bands, one fronted by significant modern composer Toby Driver, the other a thrashing powerhouse of mechanical rhythms and time signatures. Which is your favorite and why?

Please: If you are not familiar with one or both of the band's material, I urge that you use the links provided and at least listen to the samples on their respective pages.

Meshuggah's PA page: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=1692
Kayo Dot's PA page: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=1870

As always, discussions are encouraged.
