PRIMUS quotes RUSH's "Yyz" on their "Suck On This" live. I think there's also a citation of KING CRIMSON's "Fracture" on some song by SONIC YOUTH?

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but somewhere in The Revealing Sciece of God (i'm pretty sure its this song, although it might be a different one of TFTO) you can hear the riff from Close To The Edge.

The Residents' Kaw-Liga is a cover of a Hank Williams song. Someone
told me that his wifes name was Billy Jean and that's why the Residents
cover uses the Michael Jackson 'drive' in the song.

On the same album (absolutely free) he also cits invocation and ritual dance from Rite of Spring (same Stravinsky).
I like the way Zappa always cites himself throughout his career. Wasn't that what he called "Conceptual Continuity"?

I believe Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head is from the film Butch and the Sundance Kid (Paul Newman)
I know "They Say the Neon Lights look bright on Broadway" by George Benson, but this can not be the original.

What about Rush using Raymond Scott's "Powerhouse" as a section of "La Villa Strangiato"?

check out the recent SAGA albums and read the
lyrics – they're full of references and even song titles
of their very own times and albums past. so much for
aging gracefully ... or what was that again in
"breathing lessons" (off MARATHON") ... "... shake
the tree, we're gonna climb the ladder..."

On their live-double "Once In A Lifetime" one can listen to Dream
Theater citing "Freebird" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, "Moby Dick" by Led
Zeppelin, "Plat Opus" by Platypus, "Have A Cigar" by Pink Floyd, "Enter
Sandman" by Metallica, "Paradigm Shift" by Liquid Tension Experiment
and "Flight Of The Bumblebee" by Nikolai Rismky-Korsakov.
On "Journey To The Centre Of The Earth" Rick Wakeman cites a piece of "Hall Of The Mountain King" by Edvard Grieg.
Some peolpe say, that Marillions earlier albums were nothing but citations of Genesis

A few examples come to mind...
There is a few seconds musical citation of Genesis' "Fountain of Salmacis" in The Flower Kings' "World of Adventures".
Peter Hammill sings parts of his own "A Motorbike in Africa" and the chorus of Peter Gabriel's "Biko" in the end of the song "Sun City Night Life".
And After Crying has cited the most characteristic riffs from King Crimson's "21st Century Schizoid Man" somewhere on one of their albums, I think it's on "Show".
