Although I love Genesis, Yes, KC, VdGG and many many other bands, PF was, is and will be my all-time favourite band (for their brilliant five albums - Meddle, DSOTM, WYWH, Animals and The Wall). Nothing else really matters ;-)

PF, Genesis, KC, Yes, VdGG, GG, Camel, Jethro Tull

Other- The Clash. I guess you didn't required that band is kinda prog pure blood, since I see that Queen, Purple and Beatles are on the list.

A slight absence of Canterbury I fear...
Also, lack of KC, VDGG, GG makes poll invalid.

Hmm, strange list, The Beatles are the best band here but this is a strange mixture of prog, proto-prog, prog-related and God knows what.

For me it's Yes, They've got so many good albums, As do most prog giants, But Yes, For me, Are a small step up above the rest. I mean come on!
- The Yes Album
- Fragile
- Close to the Edge
- Tales From Topographic Oceans
- Relayer
To me that is a clear no questions asked run of masterpieces. 'Going for the One' comes very close also
But I can't very strongly disagree with those who say Genesis or Pink Floyd either, Prog gave us some massively great bands

Zappa's band was my favorite.
Then King Crimson, Gentle Giant, and Yes.

Trust me. I know what I'm doing.
