SECOND GRAND CONSTITUTION AND BYLAWS - HURQALYA

The second album from Trey Spruance's mysterious and esoteric Secret Chiefs 3 project follows a similarly diverse trajectory as the first, taking in musical genres from classic movie soundtracks to traditional Middle Eastern music to thumping drum and bass dance music and everything in between. Although the schtick is still more or less the same as it was on First Grand Constitution and Bylaws - and, for that matter, the instrumental sections of Mr Bungle's Disco Volante - Spruance seems more than happy to keep doing what he does, and the music presented here is diverse enough that it certainly never gets boring.
