ONE HOUR BY THE CONCRETE LAKE

A politically heavy concept album featuring a more experimental sound than heard on the band's debut "Entropia". The premise is discussed well enough in other reviews, the subject matter being something the band will return to often in later albums. Although not quite as damning as say, "Scarsick", it does raise some interesting points in a earnest manner which will likely connect with many listeners.

The songs themselves can be somewhat disjointed, and feature a coarse, somewhat depressing sound. Playing is still top-notch, but it does not strike the listener as dynamically as in "Entropia". Still, a great purchase for fans who have come to appreciate PoS's sound through their stronger albums, who will also likely appreciate the lyrical content more than the casual fan.
