One vote for the Beast.

Hypothesis is a little too random for me, but I love the moods expressed in The Dragon, an aptly named title track. The rest of that album is great too.

Hypothesis but they are very close

The Dragon. I absolutely adore the blissful serenity of Stuffed Aubergine.
Hypothesis is not a fave of mine.

I really like that song too. I don't like much the title track though: that guitar playing exactly the same thing for 15 minutes gets on my nerves

Ha, you already know my vote, Sam! A little vote for the big underwater beast!
Both fine albums, but as much as `Hypothesis' is a random collection of dirty jazzy fragments, `The Dragon' has a lovely hypnotic flow to it for me!
Two amazing albums, though!

The Dragon (4 stars) , excellent early Vangelis release
Hypothesis (2 stars) goes together with Beauborg (5 stars!) and Invisible Connections (3 stars) as Vangelis 'odd' albums when he was in a more experimental mood.

I've relistened to The Dragon yesterday. Good but I prefer Hypothesis.

My two favorite albums of his (which I understand Vangelis himself didn't ever want to release) Hypothesis is jazzy fragments I suppose but I think it works just prefect as a whole. I don't know which one to choose. They are both magnificent.

The Dragon is more a blend of rock, I really don't like it much to be honest, thus out of the two options, I have to vote for Hypothesis which the instrumental is to me much more interesting by being more jazz avant garde although not a fan of both songs to be honest

Love both of these albums. At first Hypothesis was my favourite, then The Dragon for a while. And now I can't choose.
