That was... unfortunate, as it happened before their first concert in the band's hometown of Jonquiere, but already happened once (I'm not that familiar with Eric Forrest's tenure in the band though it seems to really divide fans) and apparently they've found a replacement. Then again with a group that has such a unique sound depending in particular on the instrumental interplay, replacing one member is going to be some really big shoes to fill. They kind of struck gold with Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain to replace the late great Piggy, but the knowledge there's only two original members left kind of makes me disappointed because I have yet to see the band live. (something I'd really like to do)

It sure is a pity to lose a founding member but Blacky has left Voivod before so I don't think that it's too big of a problem. I mean, it's not as bad as Dave Lombardo being kicked out of Slayer.
