Metal Mind Productions is proud to
announce the release of the fifth full-length album by Osada
Vida, one of the most interesting Polish bands on the prog-rock/metal
scene. Their new, yet untitled material will be released in Autumn 2014.
Łukasz Lisiak, the band’s bass guitarist comments the
extension of the recording contract:
“And so it happened again! After several months of talks,
negotiations, and reflecting on all pros and cons, we’ve come to a mutual
agreement to release the new, fifth album by Osada Vida again via Metal Mind
Productions, which we’re very happy about, also because of our mutual
sympathy.”
Łukasz reveals also the current mood in the band and the
schedule of work in the recording studio:
“Personally, I can’t wait to record the new album at the
studio and, later on, to hear it in its final form. As you already know, the new
album is being created by a modified and refreshed line-up. Just how much
modified, we’ll probably reveal pretty soon. One thing is certain: all the
changes Osada Vida’s undergone lately gave us new energy, enthusiasm and a drive
to create new music. For now, let me state, somewhat enigmatically, that the new
Osada Vida exists, creates, and is quite well – only our average age decreased,
while our average height increased :-). Music-wise, the new songs constitute a
harmonious combination of our distinctive style with what we presented on the
‘Particles’ album. So there’s going to be a lot of energy, melodies you can sing
along to at concerts, but also long guitar and key solos, as well as complex and
stirring passages. As it comes to the recording schedule, we’re starting in
early August and we’d like to present to our audience the finished album in
October, 2014. We’re very happy that soon we’ll be able to present our new tunes
to the world. As is always the case with Osada Vida, the joy of playing,
open-mindedness and the willingness to share our music are the most important to
us. That’s why we’re counting on the positive feedback from our Listeners and on
their numerous attendance during our shows, which we’re planning for the Autumn
this year.”
Selection of photos from the recording studio is available on
the band’s facebook page in http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10152127014986238.1073741829.167768991237&type=1" rel="nofollow - THIS

received official releases - “Three Seats Behind a Triangle” (2006/2007), “The
Body Parts Party” (2008), “Uninvited Dreams” (2009) and “Particles” (2013).
Their albums feature elaborately beautiful music in the vein of Yes, Porcupine

first live DVD entitled “Where The Devils Live” featuring the recording of their
live appearance at the Wyspianski Theater in Katowice, Poland in Autumn 2011. In

As previously announced, Metal Mind
Productions will release the fifth full-length album by Osada
Vida, one of the most interesting Polish bands on the rock/metal scene.
Their new, yet untitled material will be released in
October.
Their highly acclaimed previous
album "Particles" made the band work even harder on the follow-up material. In
the meantime, the band have undergone a few line-up changes: Bartek Bereska
(guitar) was replaced by Janek Mitoraj and drummer Adam Podzimski - by Marek
Romanowski.
Osada Vida - Marek
Romanowski
Łukasz Lisiak (bass guitar)
comments on the changes and their impact on the new album: "I think, the
new album is a continuation of a certain road, the album 'Particles' being its
last stop. Certainly, the approach to composing used on the album 'Particles'
was also used while writing songs for the new album - the structure of songs is
more simple, as we were trying to avoid excessive complexity. We are using Marek
Majewski's talent as much as possible, so finally we no longer have to hide or
shorten the vocal parts. At the same time, however, we are still amusing
ourselves with all those little twisted, very atmospheric parts known from our
previous releases. Our new guitarist, Janek Mitoraj, has a great musical sense
and equally excellent guitar skills, which allows us to mix new ideas with
'Osada Vida' style. Our newest member, drummer Marek Romanowski, is a musician
who knows exactly how to play with rhythm. He also has a great sense of humor,
and sense of humor is a must in Osada Vida team. You can therefore expect us to
develop and consolidate the ideas first introduced on the 'Particles' album,
though there still will be place for interesting and engrossing passages, which
those fans who liked them so much on our previous releases came to
expect."
At the end of July, the band
entered MaQ Records studio to record rhythm section parts. A short movie
uploaded on Metal Mind Productions' official YouTube channel introduces their
new drummer Marek Romanowski. You can watch the clip at http://youtu.be/eSvR8ZIWn_M" rel="nofollow - THIS location.
Łukasz: „Later on, we will
record guitars, keys and vocals. The album will be produced by Sławek
Gładyszewski, who also worked with us on the ‘Particles’ album. Hopefully, this
time his ear, knowledge and experience won't disappoint as
well."

Osada Vida, one of the most interesting Polish bands on the rock/metal scene, still work on their fifth studio album. Their material entitled “The After-Effect” is scheduled for release on November, 3rd.
Their highly acclaimed previous album "Particles" made the band work even harder on the follow-up material. In the meantime, the band have undergone a few line-up changes: Bartek Bereska (guitar) was replaced by Janek Mitoraj and drummer Adam Podzimski - by Marek Romanowski.
Rafał Paluszek, band’s keyboardist comments: “Our new album, just like it was with ‘Particles’, is not a concept album. We abandoned that as a creative method. And when we came up with the title ‘The After-Effect’, it was partly as a joke. An after-effect is a consequence, the result of all that's going on in our lives. Every album sums up a certain episode in your life. It crowns a certain creative process, which is, after all, brought about by something, and which is a lasting phenomenon. We experience certain things, every event has some influence on what we do. Why shouldn't that apply to the music we create? In a relatively short period of time, 2/5 of Osada Vida's lineup has changed. Such changes are like a tsunami - there are losses, but there's also a reason to build something new, something we wouldn't dare to build back in the untroubled days. We don't know what effects today's events will have. Looking at it from a mathematical perspective, there's an infinite number of paths, each branching out into an infinite number of paths as well, and so on. That's what ‘The Affter-Effect’ is.”

The new album will bring surprises. One of them is a guest
appearance of a string quartet. Osada Vida comment: “'The After-Effect’ will
feature a guest performance by the string quartet of Agnieszka Sawicka, Jakub
Kowalski, Anna Krzyżak, and Wojciech Skóra. The recordings were handled by Janek
Mitoraj. However, there's no need to worry that the album will turn out
excessively poetic or romantic, as the string parts serve rather to infuse the
songs with heaviness and incredible energy. So far, it sounds
terrific!”.

Osada Vida is one of the most interesting Polish bands on the
prog-rock/metal scene. Their discography includes three demos and four well
received official releases - “Three Seats Behind a Triangle” (2006/2007), “The
Body Parts Party” (2008), “Uninvited Dreams” (2009) and “Particles” (2013).
Their albums feature elaborately beautiful music in the vein of Yes, Porcupine
Tree, Pain Of Salvation and Riverside. In July 2012, Osada Vida released their
first live DVD entitled “Where The Devils Live” featuring the recording of their
live appearance at the Wyspianski Theater in Katowice, Poland. In 2012 the band
debuted in a new improved line-up - they have added a new vocalist Marek
Majewski, previously known from the band Acute Mind. In Autumn 2013 the band
replaced guitarist Bartek Bereska with young and talented musician – Jan
Mitoraj. In Summer 2014 drummer Adam Podzimski left the band and his place was
taken by Marek Romanowski. Their brand new, fifth studio album entitled “The
After-Effect” brings surprises. One of them is a guest appearance of a string
quartet. Osada Vida comment: “…there's no need to worry that the album will
turn out excessively poetic or romantic, as the string parts serve rather to
infuse the songs with heaviness and incredible energy. So far, it sounds
terrific!”
The album is currently promoted by track “Sky Full Of
Dreams”. The official video can be seen in http://youtu.be/J84UHwUKwcw" rel="nofollow - THIS location.
