I love these guys, but Oldman is near the very top of my favorite actors. Haven't seen as much material for Goldblum either.

Gary Oldman for a lot of things.

Though Goldblum is very likable.

A great and yet odd comparison--  I give it to Goldblum, but Oldman's range is increasingly impressive

I'm a fan of both but let's be honest: It's Oldman by a mile. The man has the craziest, most diverse, list of roles of anyone ever while Goldblum basically plays himself in every role.

I mean, Oldman has played Sid Vicious, Lee Harvey Oswald, Dracula, Beethoven, Pontius Pilate, Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg, and Commissioner Gordon. That's range.

Well Oldman is a character actor, that's what he does.   The neat thing about Goldblum are the subtle differences he brings to that 'plays himself in every role' thing;  the guy in Law & Order is not really the one he plays in The Big Chill or The Fly.   And Goldblum's filmography is massive compared to Oldman's.

I also think Goldblum is the better re-actor

Oldman over Goldblum....but not by much.

One of my favorite 'cult films' is Mr Frost with Goldblum.
