Lost Chord for me. IMO, almost as good as DOFP, but still 5-star. Hergest Ridge and Passion are also favourites of mine - great poll

Ay and away I go with Mike.  Not that I don't like old Moodies and I don't have that PG soundtrack so it has to come in last but I have seen the movie... ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

No contest for me....has to be In Search of the Lost Chord.
I like Oldfield and Gabriel but they always sounded more like film soundtracks (Passion of course being a film track,,,) to me than 'prog albums'.....and please don't ask me to explain that.

Being that today is Easter, I chooseth PG's Passion. Great album. | I only know Hergest Ridge, and selection from Lost Chord. However, I wouldn't be surprised if Oldfield's album ended up being my favourite of this. Those 70's Oldfield albums are untouchable. |

Lotta love for Hergest Ridge.......
I know I'll get bricks tossed my way but I have always thought his stuff to be boring at times and certainly not my idea of prog rock or even crossover prog. I used to put it on for background music while reading before falling asleep..

Hergest is a bit sleepy at times. Have you heard Taurus 2 from "5 Miles out"? I'm not sure how far you could get into sleep with that one. Same with Amarok, although I was not a big fan of it at all
