I'm interested in adding Jeff Beck into PA for his long string of Fusion albums.

What say you?

The admins already signalled that he won't be accepted.

It was worth one more shot, though.

I thinkyou read the post wrong.  The other two groups mentioned were no but they were leaning toward Mr Beck who deserves it alone for Blow by Blow, Wired and JB and Jan Hammer live.  He has worked with Stanley Clark and I saw him headline for Mahvishnu Orchestra on the Blow by Blow tour.  He and McGlaughlin shared the stage at the end for a blistering blues number that I think the notes are still flying around to this day. Add Him!

I'm not sure if he had a "long string" of Fusion albums - I can think of only two real Fusion albums, and even they have some non-Fusion tracks.

Add him! Just as prog as mahavishnu orchestra. Jazz fusion is a subgenre, and he definetely made two solid fusion albums!

Not for me. He plays rock-blues, soul blues and jazz-rock.

As Andrew I believe he's more a Rock Blues musician than a Fusion one, but he has some merits.

I give him the benefit of the doubt.

Yes, he should. I've followed Beck since his first solo album "Truth" and while it's true he's not exclusively Prog, "Blow by Blow", "Wired" and "There and Back" did and still do contribute to the Prog Ethic.
