He was mainly a bluesman. On this site he's featured only on the Area live album "1979 Il Concerto" which was a tribute to Demetrio Stratos. I had the privilege of playing a session with him in 1981.
He passed away on the 31st, new year's eve at the age of 60.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Thanks for the sad news as I'm not aware of him and enjoyed the videos and listening to his great guitar work and music. As an American of Italian heritage really appreciate it--now I seek out some more of his music. RIP.

While I'm writing there have been 626 visits to this thread. I hope that even a small percentage of the visitors has now at least an idea of what kind of artist Roberto was and will start digging into his music.

He was the guitar teacher of this (unfortunately pop) artist.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.
