Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all feel half-dead like I do right now.
Which 2014 release are you anticipating the most? I just picked a few off the top of my head; I know there will be lots of new releases coming out in the next three months but most of them do not have album titles yet.

Rumors abound that both David Gilmour and Roger Waters are working on new albums. I don't know if either one will get a 2014 release, but those are what I'm looking for the most, as far as prog related.
Also can't wait for new albums by Phideaux (should be this year) and Steven Wilson (though that's probably a few years away).

Gilmour and Waters, of course. One album only would have been fantastic, but we'll have two.
I have also heard that George Lucas is working at the 7th episode of Star Wars...not prog but...

Fripp hasn't talked about recording new material in any of these, he's only talked about performing.
"Fripp has been embroiled in a legal dispute with Universal Music Group for six years, which has only recently been resolved. This legal dispute caused him to retire from live performance. King Crimson last played together in 2008, while Fripp himself hasn't performed live since 2010. There are no plans, he says, for the new King Crimson to enter a studio. They will play "reconfigured" versions of existing Crimson material."

Oh I want to see that band interpret old material as well. I'm hoping that while they are doing this Fripp decides to write & record some new material

But it won't be George Lucas. He sold Lucas Arts to Disney, and it will be them doing the next 3 chapters of Star Wars, without any involvement from Lucas whatoever, as far as I understand.

OTHER - eagerly looking forward to purchasing this album:
Recently began digging through Curved Air's discography - what a nice and genuine style they have! - I've found some tracks just stunning! And Sonja Kristina's somewhat exotic singing style and such a genuine timbre that impressed me even more than the violin melodies played by these talented rock violinists Darryl Way or Eddie Jobson, though also impressive their skills, it is long aknowledged that the violin is one of the most difficult instruments to play. Btw that is the first time I listened to the electric violins, I'm still enjoying even more the acoustic violin sounds but I think it is the style of music played that makes the difference from acoustic to electric ones. So far my favourite tracks are UHF, Moonshine (Sonja K. is superb!) and Piece of Mind Metamorphosis.

Intended to mention Metamorphosis as it enchanted me at first listen - Sonja again singing such a nice melody superbly accompanied by the other instruments! Easily turned out my fave. Piece of Mind is a beautiful piece too.

OTHER. How can I ignore : Opeth, Rob Reed, Abel Ganz , ANGE , Curved Air , Csmograf , Frequency Drift , IQ , Kant Freud Kafka , Logos , Motorpsycho , Adventure , Rick Miller and ... There are too many bands that released PERFECT albums in 2014. Unfortunately YES's "Heaven & Earth" cant be in my list!! and they worked under their standard. Perhaps you ask me " What is YES standard?" and I say to you "Standard" in my opinion is a 3* album.

Yeah Abel Ganz - Abel Ganz is another stunning 2014 release you reminded me of, and Adventure I didn't know they released another album, I think it could be indeed interesting to check out, though their style is not my cup of tea but for what I've heard in their album Beacon Of Light (2009) they managed brilliantly to meld prog metal with other influences in a very genuine and harmonic way.
