well, we remember that Yes incident with High Vibration (the new SACD box set from Warner Music Japan), however, there will be another version of the box set with the title shown above. Im not sure they'll be CDs, but i do know all the discs featured (Yes-Big Generator) will have bonus tracks included, ALONG with Big Generator (which only happened in Japan). it will be released on November 4, which is not too far from here. What are your thoughts now?

You may want to insert 'Yes' in your thread titleWink
A lot of bands made albums between 1969 and 1987 y'know.

As for the box set, I am not really interested myself. I have all the Yes albums that I need - and simply re-buying albums that I've already got due to bonus tracks strikes me as collector's lunacy. Hell, I wouldn't even do that with Floyd or Amon Düül ll.

I guess this would be pretty interesting to newcomers to the band, be that if it's priced reasonably. The studio albums by themselves aren't that steep in shops.

I am in agreement with Guldbamsen. I already have all the material and it would have to come with a lot of extra features, such as re-mastering by Eroc, lots of previously unreleased material (and not unreleased live recordings), at an inexpensive price, and with lots of new and old cool artwork. And a fifty page book with actual information and a few photos. Individually signed by all the band members on all the albums, including Peter Banks. Then I will consider it.

I did this with Floyd on their Shine On box set.  I had all of the albums already, some on MoFi gold CDs or half speed master LPs.  I really wanted the disk of early singles especially since it wasn't available elsewhere.

Moral of the story, I got the boxed set,  the coveted early singles disc was eventually released separately, and while it is enjoyable and I am a major PF fan, many of those songs are not that great.  Basically, I paid about 100 bucks for a disk I wanted, a book and seven albums that I already had.  I didn't notice a big improvement in sound and some were not as good as what I previously had.

Sooo,  while most of these box sets are pretty with everything all in one place,  most of the bonus tracks I find are not worth it.  I picked up the Moody Blues Time Traveller set because I didn't have the originals but I would rather buy some new music than get albums that I have already.
