Just wanting to know what is the lowest rated prog rock album (by this website) that you personally own? Say the album and its rating if you can

Mine is From Genesis To Revelation, Genesis' Debut at 2.46/5

I'm not really sure, but going off of your pick, Invisible Touch 2.38 / 5.00.  That's pretty low

I think the clear winner from my collection is

ELP - Love Beach, 2.05 (405 ratings)

Others which are at the same level or lower, but which lack a statistically significant number of ratings:

PFM?PFM! (1984) 2.01 (43 ratings)
Earth and Fire - Andromeda Girl 2.09 (17 ratings) << it used to be under 2 until I reviewed it and gave it a 3!
Franco Battiato - Battiato 2.02 (13 ratings) << ditto!
Amon Duul - Disaster 1.36 (16 ratings)

Probably Split Enz' live album The Living Enz (1.38) but that's from 4 ratings, and IMHO totally undeserved, and the album has a wagonload of good songs.

My lowest rated album is Jumbo's last album violini d'autunno. Its rated 1.0 from one review. Mine LOL

But I love this band anyway.

I also have Genesis' debut album, but then again I have most of their albums - Invisible Touch as well.Big smile

Marillion - I own Less Is More, Holidays in Eden, This Strange Engine, well, again, most of their albums LOL, even not the cool ones.

Yes - the Rabin albums.

That reminds me Yes "Open Your Eyes" had a lot of ratings and was just over 2.0 on average.  Unfortunately for this thread, that's the only Yes album I don't own and have never heard.  I'm sure somebody here has it, suckers.

I have two versions of it so suck on that.  I bought the original and then I also bought the special surround sound 5.1 version of it.  It was one of the first of its kind.  They played the concert with surround sound as well.  I guess that it was a pretty big deal at the time.

Cool, didn't know that.  I'm sure the album isn't as bad as its rating suggests.

I've always liked it personally, but I can understand why it doesn't meet the standards of prog fans who don't like it.

Triumvirat-Russian Roulette 1.55

Triumvirat-A La Carte 1.69

Wallenstein-Blue Eyed Boys 2.14

The Triumvirats are probably two of the most hated albums ever. I dared to give both a 3 out of 5 vote after re-evaluating them on hearing some of their songs on a live recording (Triumvirat Live in Germany 1980), which are done in a gutsier fashion, and enabled me to actually like something of those two albums.

Except that Open Your Eyes is not a Rabin album ( if i may say so), Steve Howe is on guitar. Kinda  sleepwalking throughout the album. LOL

I probably have something rated lower than this but this one came to mind since I recently looked at the Captains ratings.

Rated 1.76
I actually like the lp and think it deserves at least a 2.5-3.00

Here's 3 titles of which I've given 3 stars rating/review for each :
GROBSCHNITT - 'Razzia' - 1.91 out of 15 ratings
    "       - 'Kinder Und Narren' - 1.62 out of 11 ratings
RENAISSANCE - 'Time Line' - 1.64 out of a whopping 71 ratings !!
I get a lot out of these albums, they are not what I'd consider atrocious, but most folks do.

Currently for me it's Blut Aus Nord's "Memoria Vetusta I: Fathers of the Icy Age" with a 2.00 rating. With only 4 votes, a review from me would probably bounce it right out of "worst rated album I own" status.

On  a more straightforward metal site (particularly one with a lot of black metal fans), this release usually ranks among BaN's most well regarded albums...kind of an underground classic.

I guess that's my new winner now too.  That's real low (deservedly or not), when you consider that it probably has a ton of ratings, and it's impossible to give less than one star.  I think it's a decent album myself.

I tried to figure it out, but couldn't find any way to do it.  I just tried to think of well known bands with controversial albums and looked them up.   If there's a way to query the database, I'd love to hear it.

Oryzhein - Scalaria (1.14).  This is one of the worst albums I've ever heard and I'm still kicking myself for actually paying real money for it Angry

I remember Caravan's The Album being horribly dissed by PA contributors....I think the rating was below 2.00.  As far as non-live/bootleg, compilation or unofficial releases go, this is the lowest rated album I own that I know of.  Deserving of it's slogging?  Maybe, but not moreso than most latter era Caravan.  The most cringeworthy moment from the LP being when they tried reggae!

No Way !! 'Clear Blue Sky' is a winner and one of my fave tunes from later Caravan, Sinclair's bubbling mini-moog adds so much spaciness to the piece it just works for me. I'd say 'The Golden Mile' was the rubbish tune off 'The Album'.

Wow!  A fan of Clear Blue!  Come to think of it, there's a little pseudo-bluegrass on the album, some fake reggae, some funk lite (Golden Mile), some pure pop....but not much Caravan.  The best cuts, to me, are Whatca Gonna Tell Me and Piano Player....they might have fit in on, say, the Blind Dog album.  That's good enough for me!

Again, not a terrible album....just not very Caravany.

Seriously - 'Moteur!' by Ange, 'Love Child' by Curved Air, 'Underwraps' by Jethro Tull, 'Codename : Wildgeese' by Eloy, 'Abacab' by Genesis (maybe on par with LB), 'Giant For A Day' by Gentle Giant........to name a few.
