The NME's http://www.nme.com/photos/26-of-the-grossest-band-names-ever/322194/1/1?recache=1&t=1231314&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=pixiesroots" rel="nofollow - list of such has a not-very-surprising dominance of industrial, metal and punk groups. I must say I'm somewhat disappointed http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Syphilitic_Vaginas/121856" rel="nofollow - these folks didn't make the list, though.

Seriously..?
It makes an old man like myself want to take these young hooligans out to the woodshed and thrash them and send them to bed without dinner.

I always laugh at a lot those silly band names, and metal generally has a slew of funny names.  I'm just happy to see AC on there.

Confused

Also, the site itself is terrible, I hate those setups. I didn't see one band name, just pictures and comments.

Well, most of these names are pretty tame, if you have in mind all the horrors that many grindcore/death-metal musicians have chosen to name their bands.
It's not like they listed bands such as [censored] Flood of [censored], [censored] By A Horse, [censored] the [censored] in the [censored] or Unholy Farm of [censored] of [censored].

For me nothing can beat 'Kiss the Anus of a Black Cat'.

Or album/song titles if you want some good unintentional humour. Especially when they're littered with Engrish.

They're gross, but nothing to make you cringe. But really, what's gross about Axe Wound?

Yeah, if you ask me their place on the list should be taken up by Syphilitic Vaginas instead. I actually have trouble convincing other people to listen to that band because of their name, when they're the best genre hybrid between 1980s hardcore punk and 1990s black metal I've heard in a long while.

To be fair Smegma have been around for 40 years, most of them are grandparents.  And the guys in Nice Beaver are all in their late 40s or early 50s.

Yeah, I guess it's hard to say to people: "Hey, have you checked out Syphilitic Vaginas, like I told you?"
