I've heard some about this lady's music...and some have even compared her favorably to my favorite artist...Kate Bush. What are some of her best songs so I can explore her a little further? I have looked for opinions on the internet and am finding that she isn't all that well known. I even read that she spent time with another favorite, Peter Gabriel, at his studios, which greatly intrigues me. Thank you for your help.

Yes! I was a huge Jane fan in the 80s. So many great songs. I love each of her 80s releases: No Borders Here (1984), The Speckless Sky (1985), The Walking (1987) and Bound By The Beauty (1989). The first was here wittiest, the third her most Kate Bush-like, the fourth was experimental, "live" in the studio, with the full band recorded all at once.

Favorite songs:

1. "Are We Dancing Now?" from Bound by The Beauty
2. "The Taxi Ride" from The Speckless Sky
3. "Dancing Class" from No Borders Here
4. "The Empty City" from The Speckless Sky
5.  "The White Tent The Raft" from The Walking
6. "Calling All Angels" (with k.d. lang)
7. "The Bird in the Gravel" from The Walking
8. "The Walking" from The Walking
9. "Mimi on the Beach" from No Borders Here
10. "Half Angel, Half Eagle" from Bound By The Beauty
11. "Extra Executives" from No Borders Here
12. "Goodbye" from The Walking
13. "Waitress" from No Borders Here

I've heard Dancing Class and The Walking and both of them are incredible!
