Subject: Does anyone have this recurring dream

I have a recurring dream and I am curious if anyone else has a similar dream.
The basic theme of the dream is that I have one or more albums in my collection by an established artist (usually Yes or some variation) that I haven't listened to in a while and I am taking out the record to play it (they are usually vinyl records in my dream, not sure why).
The thing is that these records are not any of the real bands output, it's like they made one or two more albums that I have in my dream but which do not exist in the real world. And in the dream I am always thinking like "oh yeah, I almost forgot about this album and it's really really good".
It's like I am imagining that Yes made an album in between Relayer and Going For The One.
It isn't always Yes but if not then it is very similar with Roger Dean like artwork etc.
Am I the only the one who dreams this type of thing?

Hmmm, ya know what, it could just be all that acid I did in the '70's. (actually I didn't do that much acid and it was the 1980's but that doesn't sound as cool)

Maybe there's another Yes in an alternate parallel universe and they did make another album between Relayer and Going For The One.

if anyones mind is good enough to dream about parallel universes then perhaps your brain would be able to picture a brand new colour that isn't a combination of any colours that are eyes can currently see.

I had some similar dreams....!
One night, I dreamt that I found 2 really fantastic cassettes. There were no names of the bands or albums in the dream. I just know that they were fantastic and one was flourescent yellow and the other flourescent purple! A few nights later I had a dream that I hadn't listened to these cassettes and I was looking for them. I never found them!
I think it's all related to always trying to find brilliant albums in real life. The late British DJ John Peel was saying that he was always trying to find an album that made him feel as good as an album that he found in his youth (I don't remember the name of the album but that's not relevant anyway). I suppose we're always trying to find that new fantastic album that we don't know about aren't we?

I don't have one like yours but my GF woke me up one night saying I was shouting "NO! STOP IT"! When she questioned me "Stop who" I said "Phil Collins! He is ruining my song".

Are you sure you're not just lying awake at night wondering why you have a perpetual habit of buying CDs?

*concentrates* Hmmm... Ooh! I've got one! It's a colour that's just
after ultra violet and has a strangely comforting feel to it... I shall
name it "Wilp".

I dreamt the opening track of DT's "Octavarium" a few months before it came out. I don't remember how it went, but I do remember that it was A LOT better than "The Root of All Evil" .

I had the same dream for about 10 years when I was around 25, then they dissapeared, like everything else

Ah, I shall go to Homebase tomorrow (they have a colour matching service and can match any colour) and I shall paint my entire lounge dark Wilp, actually maybe a slightly off-wilp would be best.

Wow, this is so amazing, I have the dream to, but slightly different.
I have had this dream twice already. What happens is that I too have a collection of vinyl records, (in real life I have none), but it's Pink Floyd, wonder why that is. -jk
I go through my collection of records and come across a lost, but not secret, just obscure album that is not famous enough to be remembered, only by real fans. This album is another Soundtrack, except it's a soundtrack of the show StarTrek.
I don't quite remeber but I'm preety sure the soundtrack in my dream was made by Floyd right after Meddle, but before the recordings of Darkside of the moon. So it was when they were still Space Rock, but not commercial like they are now. This cd was so good because Nick had written and recorded his own space rock song, it was an epic, and it was so good. There were 2 other songs on the album that were written and recorded by all 4 members.I loved this album in my dream because it showcased Nick's hidden and underated talents as a musician, and there were 2 other tracks with the band working together just like in Darkside.
I still remember what it sounded like, it was very Floyd and a perfect mix of Meddle and Darkside, fused into one album containing 3 long space tracks. The album cover had a picture of The Enterprise going through a blueish kind of Nebula or some kind of space phenomonon with stars and lights and fantastic colors in it, and at the top was a picture of the 4 of them standing looking off to the side, smiling. The album was so good while I was listening to it I woke up with tears in my eyes, I was so amazed by it.
I plan on recreating this music I heard because I think it was some kind of wierd way that my creativity was trying to contact my consiencness. I don't plan on asking StarTrek for the rights to make a soundtrack for them though, seeing as how that show is going these days, not to well, but hopefully I can find a movie to make this soundtrack for, it just won't seem right if it were just an album about space, it needs a focus point, like a movie.'
BTW, im not as crazy as this post makes me seem.

More brain rattlers...
-try and imagine what a 23d (23rd dimensional) object would look like. -try and have a car chase in venice -think of the words "black light" -thank god for creating atheism -try and freeze fire -take a look out the window, keep trying to imagine what is beyond the things you can see until you brain starts to bleed -try and run someone over with a parked car -try and imagine how big the universe is -try and imagine what it is like to be dead -try and cause an arguement between the left and right lobes of the brain by looking at something like this and reading out what colour you see/what is written RED BLUE OCTAGON GRASS ORANGE ORANGE ORANGE

I did all those last week. My brain is still intact. However, have you ever tried to cut your own legs off with a nail file covered in bubblegum while running a marathon in the gobi desert wearing a suit of armour. A mate did that last summer. he regrets it now.

Some cool things to think about, but would your brain really bleed if you thought about somehting as complex as what is beyond your vision. and if so is it bad for it to bleed, because i have thought about whats beyond what i can see, a few times, but i didn't think it was a big deal

My dream is kind of similar, except that it turns into reality. Seriously, a few times I woke up from my sleep to my own voice singing aloud tunes - with full instrumentation in my head - that sounded like Paul Rodgers with Bad Co. None of these tunes are known to me, but would fit onto their albums! No, I don't take acid, or stuff like that, I just love music and perhaps in the sub-conscious we can tune into something that perhaps only exists as a thought form.
To back it up with another example. Once I was flying out of Sydney and the plane appeared to struggle on take-off. Suddenly, this driving rhythm emerged in my head, almost like wanting to assist the plane. It went on for a while, long enough to remember it even now. The point is that this very same piece was released as the middle, instrumental passage by Genesis on "Driving the last spike" two years later!!!!
Write me off as a looney, ridicule me if you like, but here is my two bobs worth.
