It would probably help if they weren't upside down.

-------------
What?

Date Posted: June 21 2013 at 09:44
The second one looks like Renaissance at Carnegie Hall, and the third looks like Jade Warrior "Kites".  Can't figure out the other 2 but they look familiar.

Ah, okay, I got it: the game is to recognize the covers showed on the picture.

Communication, anyone?

Posted By: Knobby
Date Posted: June 21 2013 at 14:54
Recognize the covers obviously .
AND run four words together from the band names/lp titles to make a cogent  line.

KNOBS  HAVE SO SPOKEN!

Answer is ...........Captain Jade "Steeleye" Van der Graaf.

Game was not completed  so that means I,Knoblandia  gets to set up the next four ducks.

(This time its not upside-down and backwards. The four words are  like the piccy is set up: going from  right to left.)

More difficult  this time round, methinks:

Well, it appears its difficult.

And I don't blame youse - they say pictures are ingrained in the mind deepest, yet trying to jog your pictoral memories can be an ordeal when your only shown ONE INCH FROM THE RECORD JACKET SPINE.

Hint: last one is US psych, second is UK folky, first is US fusionprog.

Second one is Gryphon.

Yes.

Here is the four word line HINT  that corresponds to the order of coverarts:

"Sumfink"( Aerial ) GRYPHON   GONE   "sumfink" (state of mind).

Posted By: Knobby
Date Posted: June 24 2013 at 11:21
No joy, wot?

Here then is the correct  line that corresponds to the coverarts:

FLYING GRYPHON GONE MAD

That should help someone identify coverarts #4 and #1.

Posted By: Knobby
Date Posted: June 25 2013 at 09:44
#1 = Flying Island  2nd lp
#4 = Mad River "same"

...

Shall we move on...or is it "Who fooks?"

Maybe someone else wants to post the next round?

I do, but most vinyl I have access to would not make a very challenging game, ya know. Unless non-prog can be included.
