Here's another alphabetical prog album list, this time albums beginning with the letter "C".  How will some great Italian bands fare against a classic like Close to the Edge?  What about my favorite posthumous Frank Zappa release?  Vote and find out!

Remember this is a multiple poll so vote for all your favorites!

Have fun...

Wanted to be different to everyone else so voted Close to the edge!

Def agree with Crime of the Century being nominated and I am partial to Caravan's Cunning Stunts.

Rush fans might mention Clockwork Angels!

A YES fanboy like me not voting for Close To The Edge?  Sure, I am more a CAMEL fanboy and an album with Slow Yourself Down, Mystic Queen, the studio version of Never Let Go and a closer like Arubaluba can't not get my vote.

My particular faves in PA

Herbie Hancock - Crossings
Perry Leopold - Christian Lucifer
Area - Caution Radiation Area and Crac!
Orchestra Njervudarov - Con Le Orecchie di eros
Clearlight - Clearlight Symphony

I actually prefer both of those Area albums and the Orchestra Njervudarov to the Italian representatives in the poll, though I like those too.  My other favourite Italian albums starting with C are by Ennio Morricone and Egisto Macchi.  And I rather wish that Bobby Hutcherson's Cirrus, Mort Waldron's The Call, and Haruomi Hosono and Tadanori Yokoo's Cochin Moon was represented in PA.

My favourite off the list is Richard Pinhas' Chronolyse which gets a vote from me.  For some reason Ange never fully clicked with me, but you should check out another French C album, Carpe Diem's Cueille le Jour (once a fave of mine from that sort of French scene).  EDIT: To check out Carpe Diem if at all desired http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftcUB0VE8Lg" rel="nofollow - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftcUB0VE8Lg

Just to do something different besides voting for Yes (How can you refuse the No. 1 rated album on this site?), I am agreeing with Logan and voting something other - Crossings by Herbie Hancock, a true monument of an album.

This isn't even fair. Close to the Edge, is in a class all its own, but damn it if Camel , Chameleon and Crest aren't great albums too. NO VOTE
