I know some of you seem to forget there's a difference, so let me clarify. Thrash: A subgenre of metal incorporating fast drumming and aggressive guitar work. Trash: Something you dispose of. If you're referring to certain bands as "trash" metal on mistake, remember the correct word. If you're doing it on purpose and you think you're funny, you're wrong. Thrash is as valid as any other metal genre, and is often characterized by virtuousic rhythm playing and blistering guitar solos. day around here. Thanks for creating a thread about that issue, it always bothers me when I see people talking about T(h)rash Metal. Never noticed that either, though I listened that kind of muzak as a kid! I may still sometimes refresh my memories with SEPULTURA's "Arise" composition. |
