Due to circumstances beyond my control I have a spare ticket to see Astra at The Borderline, London, on the 19th.

If anyone is interested in having it pm me - free, gratis and for nothing. LOL

I might even buy you a pint too.

First come, first served.

You missed a cracking gig! Shame Diagonal had to pull out but their replacements Zoltan were quite interesting. A drummer and two keyboard players using about 8 different keyboards (including Astra's mellotron) for various effects - think "On The Run". Astra were magnificent - tracks from The Black Chord having a more repetitive rhythm with nice keyboards and guitar overlaying each other, and then The Weirding tracks having that really laid back feel to them.

Yeah, Zoltan are great - I bought their LP "First Stage Zoltan" a few months ago and love it. I'd recommend them to everyone who's a fan of late 70s or mid 80s movie soundtracks ala "The Thing" (the one by John Carpenter) or  just vintage keyboard sounds!

Astra were actually using Zoltan's 'tron.

Cracking gig though.
