I'm a huge fan of prog. Keyboards, long instrumental segments, 20 minute songs. It's not for everyone, but I love it. I listen to Canterbury Scene, Eclectic, Jazz Fusion, Neo-prog, Prog Metal, and Symphonic. I was wondering if someone could recommend prog that is primarily influenced by genres other than classical, jazz, folk, or metal.

Hello panda,

maybe electronic prog or ambient : Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Bernd Kistenmacher, Brian Eno...

There are the most popular prog bands, like Genesis, Yes, King Crimson, Elp, but I'm very fond of Transatlantic, Caravan, Focus, The Soft Machine, and Van Der Graaf Generator.

There's also Kraftwerk, They are a Progressive Electronic Band.

I recommend their song "Trans-Europe Express".
