This has been on the back-burner for a while, but sounds like it might be happening at last. Rare 1970 Genesis film:

Man, I really hope this is actually coming out. I've had to watch the crappy watermarked youtube clip for long enough!

Right now it looks like it's just being screened in London: "'Atomic Sunrise' is screened at the Roundhouse, London NW1 (0844 482 8008; roundhouse.org.uk) 11 & 12 March"
Hopefully there'll be a follow-up DVD which I would assume would be bought by any Genesis fan that prizes the rare stuff from the old days. And, for video at least, I'm not sure it gets any older than this.

That's already available on the various box sets released in the pas several years, so you should be able to find what you want. Or there are plenty of recordings circulating from that tour.
In terms of frequency of listenings I'd be more interested too in what you're after. But I think there's a sort of fascination with stuff that pre-dates Collins & Hackett due to the fact that recordings of those days were rare. I'm guessing it's not something I'd want to listen to more than a couple of times, but I believe it'll be of special interest to those who are curious about those very early days. That's really who the information was aimed at.
Is there a particular concert from Selling England that you were interested in, and if so what is it about that show you can't find elsewhere? Just curious...

Thanks for the news. History on film.
On a sad note, I wasn't aware that Huw Lloyd-Langton had died.

Interesting news, thanks! From the articles it's not clear to me what the soundtrack will be. The text seems to suggest that the film was sound-less and that sound was added later by trying to match the images, but which soundtrack? did they have the original sound recording of that gig? or is it sound from other takes?

No, not a concert in particular, just the band playing some of my favourite songs with the classic line-up, and that would have to be the concerts after Selling England, since I didn't really like The Lamb so much, and on the tour from that album they only played that one without any other songs from previous albums. When I checked their discography here in PA I don't remember having seen any concert DVD from that period, but perhaps I didn't check well enough... specially if it's in the section of collectibles, boxsets, etc. I wish it was available in a more accesible way. As a matter of fact, I do have a DVD with songs from exactly that period (no complete concert if I remember well, but songs from different concerts), however, the quality of the recording isn't very good at all, and, as far as I understand, it is the European version, which I still don't quiet understand why, but I can't watch on TV's in America (meaning the continent, not the country). I can watch it in my computer, though, but it's not the most convinient way.
