i will for now do these exercises as much as i can, at the gym, couse they are very effective, and is also quite broad in the way that they take many muscletypes, by doing them.
Powerlifting is a strength sport that consists of three attempts at maximal weight on three lifts: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squat_%28exercise%29" rel="nofollow - squat , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bench_press" rel="nofollow - bench press , and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadlift" rel="nofollow - deadlift .
i have not checked how much i take in them in one pull or push or lift, i shall give the info when im able to do it safe, without destroying my back or my face.
i did some deadlifting today and did lift 70 kgs, 5 x 10 reps, (50 ups and downs together), i probably can lift 30% more so i might be able to lift 100 kgs if im warm, and have safty belt and people to help me
i can Squat, probably 140 kgs with same help, but i have not dared lift more then 60 kgs, in full, but i can shove with my legs, 130 kgs, so i assume i can do it the same with a lifts on my shoulder
i bench press only 45 - 60 kgs, and have not dared to push for more, i think i have lifted 70 kgs at max ![Embarrassed Embarrassed](smileys/smiley9.gif)
i sound like a health freak but im not, i just like to compete with myself and trye out some things, for my own satisfaction, and the feel after doing it is great.

Powerlifting isn't a big part of my routine though I do both military and bench presses, and occasionally deadlifts-- I train for development and strength more than explosive power; mostly flys, shrugs, curls, and presses. I mix that with bodyweight exercises like dips, push-ups, and pull-ups.

I trained under Roy Steinacker for a couple years back in the early 80s in Kansas. Roy passed away in 2011. He weighed over 400 pounds, squatted about 1,000 pounds and benched over 500. He used to huff ammonia caps before a lift to keep his brain from sensing pain. Crazy Russian b*****d, so was his old man, but a really nice guy. I managed to get just over 300 pounds on bench and 500 on squat but gave it up cause it was really screwing up my flexibility playing racquetball.

- Never performed dead-lift, never will. I'm too scant for that. - Never liked squatting. I don't do much with my legs except walking and running. - Bench press is the way to go. That's the kind of challenge I like. I want to see how much I kind do with my hands and arms.
Bench press record: 55 lbs in each hand => 110 lbs total. Can't remember how many times I could lift those, though.

squat-squat ,
i also like step training, walking up-down and with weights in each hand, like walking in stairs, good for the legs, shoulder and the lungs.
