Blue Cheer, considered by many to be the true first Heavy Metal band, went through many personnel changes and musical shifts in the first classic period that they recorded for, from the debut album hitting the stores in early '68, to '71s record that was kind of under the radar for rock fans. For me, it is a toss up between the first two, and i pick Outsideinside, which i think is their coolest record. Not only is it inimitably louder than god, but is quite experimental, sort of the ultimate in heavy, late sixties acid rock freakout! It has stood the test of time for me well, and i still love listening to it. Which one listed is your favorite?

Vincebus Eruptum is my favorite for it's sheer proto-metal raw rock'n'roll energy and power...but Outsideinside is just as good and a bit more varied. Classic band all around though

S$%t, ... never heard any of these albums except for the first one. I didn't even know that there were others besides Vincebus Eruptum and Outsideinside.

Outsideinside. Much more varied, the Jimi Hendrix influence was a bit more subtle and still has the energy of its predecessor.
Also, there's the delightfully absurd cover of The Rolling Stones "Satisfaction".

Proggers may be interested to know that in a obituary for Blue Cheer bassist Dickie Peterson, written by Neil Peart, he says that he was a big fan, and that BC were an influence on early Rush.

Vincebus Eruptum, there's simply no competition.
