Excellent!! I didn't think they'd ever be able to pull it together again. I wish them the best of luck. I've been following them since I was a kid, and the thought that it isn't over after all has just given me a little mood lift.
LOL at "Retirement Sucks Tour".

Glad to see that they are back in the swing of things. They have always been a personal favorite of mind and I would hate to see them simply disappear.

I saw Camel several times in the 70s - both the original and the Sinclair/Collins line up.
They were unforgettable. They made some of the best music ever recorded. And their 90s/900s output was also top notch.
I just hope we're not raising our hopes unjustifiably but I've a feeling we may not be. I can't wait.

I didn't know that and I'm so happy to hear about it. I always thought their last two albums was their best albums since Nude.

With so many greats passing away last year it is fantastic to hear that Andy Latimer has emerged from the proverbial jaws and is getting back to the music he does so well. Can't wait to hear what comes next, and I pray they will be able to hit NorCal sometime soon.

I believe Andy is based in the S.F. Bay Area. At least he used to be. Not sure if he's up to a tour, however.

great news all round. I don't think Andy and Susan would be communicating this unless they were pretty confident. Another chapter of the amazing story begins

But for now let's just savour Andy's 2010 'comeback' performance (guitar solo & vocals) on 'Masquerade', the opening track from the album "Random Acts of Beauty" by David Minasian:
Just stunningly beautiful...

I believe Andy and Susan moved back to UK sometime during Andy's recovering process, I think I remember such a thing being mentioned in one of the previous newsletters.
