Donner kebab, not the one shown. Great when drunk.

Of these three, Nachos are the only real "impulse food" in the US (i.e. feeding a craving).  Kebabs and sushi require a bit more forethought and planning, and I don't know of any "fast" kebab or sushi places.

My favorite of the three is sushi, definitely a special occasion treat for my wife and me.

http://www.puebla-mexico.com/pueblas-take-on-the-taco/" rel="nofollow - Puebla’s Take on the Taco

Monday, May 17th, 2010

http://www.puebla-mexico.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/taco-arabe-puebla.jpg" rel="nofollow">Pork is carved off the spit at Al Jalifa. The taco árabe, or “Arab-style taco,” is perhaps the most popular fast food in Puebla. Introduced in 1933, the Middle Eastern take on the tortilla-as-delivery system features sliced, spit-roasted pork wrapped in pita-style flatbread. Diners then typically add salt, lime juice, and salsa to taste. “To come to Puebla and not eat a taco árabe — a dish that’s reached its silver anniversary — is like missing out on mole or a cemita,” the magazine La Intoleranciasays in a 2008 cover story on the subject. In other words, skipping the experience would be a sacrilege.

Shwarmas and kebabs are great.  We have a few "Mediterranean" style places that serve that kind of thing, but it's not exactly common.   I love it though.

Then you might prefer Rudolph kebab.  The glowing red from the nose helps the drunk guide the meat to the mouth.  Tongue

Yeah! I'm a big Firesign fan, but I don't recognize that bit. Where's it from?

I've thought about starting a thread dedicated to trading Firesign quotes (an activity I call Firesign Tennis), but I have a feeling it wouldn't go far.

When I was looking down the pictures in Christoffer's OP I was going:

Kebab - looks good, can be tasty but often not,
Sushi - looks good, often tasty
Nachos - doesn't look so good, but very tasty
Walrus & Sophie Rundle - wtf?!?!?! Confused

Personally:

Kebab - prefer a mixed donner to the one pictured, ie, kebab meat + tandoori chicken (caveat - illegal to eat whilst sober),
Sushi - Only just got into sushi & that's via the supermarket ready to eat versions; soooo tasty, must try the real thing one day

Nachos - looks like someone sneezed on it

Walrus & Sophie Rundle - what the heck? I'm an adventurous eater (is Sophie Rundle a garnish or a side dish? )

I love doner kebab (and shawarma)!
I appreciate sushi, though I haven't eaten it a lot in my life.
I never ate nachos, at least not the Tex-Mex dish. I admit: I'm underdeveloped as it comes to Mexican food EmbarrassedSmileWink (although I love tacos).

I love tacos i just find Nachos to be the elevated form of it, like have all in one plate and eat it with a melted cheese on top of it,

i like fajitas also, and wraps. just that the big plate of crunch meat and cheese is very much my favorite.

@ Dean

the Walrus & Sophie Rundle is for me to show the art of contrast , as Sophie is probably one of the most  beautiful   woman i know of an Walruses is (not ugly) but the opposite of attractive.

I just fell fell pladask aftetr watching Rundle on Merlin season 5 Embarrassed

I've not had much kebab and no sushi at all, so I can't really say. I like nachos though.

I'm not sushi people (California rolls is about as far as I'll go), and I rarely do nachos.  Give me a kebab, especially a nice souvlaki.

not a fan of sushi. A nice order of super nachos is the way to go when you wanna munch. Kebabs are good too, but like others have stated, not really a quick snack food around here.

Never tried kebab, even if I'm from the mediteranean side of France where there are a lot of Arabian/Turkish people.
Even in Paris, I never feel like having a kebab orgy. I would rather have sushi which look and seem a healthier food.
Oh, to hell: tomorrow, I will go on a kebab rampage. Meeeeaaaat....
