They will be playing the whole Yes Album, Close to the Edge, and Going for the One. In venues where they can't have such a long set, they'll do The Yes Album and Close to the Edge. Personally, I would prefer if they played Fragile instead of The Yes Album, but I don't live in the US anyway, so I won't be able to go.

Yes! They're coming to NH! I think there's shows tend to be expensive, but I'd like to try to go.

It'd be nice if I could make the trip down to Seattle in March. I need to see Yes before they retire.

I wouldn't worry too much. They will be touring until Squire collapses in a Zimmerframe in his 100th decade on Earth.

Seattle, WA,  March 3rd......
I will try and go, I have never seen Yes in concert. But hearing these 3 albums in whole would be kinda cool. Everytime they come to the area I make an excuse not to go due to some very bad reviews.....As much as I love 90125, not hearing that would be OK.

The Moore Theater is a fantastic venue, that in itself is a treat.

that is going to be one long ass show.  i can't believe i'm saying this, but the last time i saw yes, i got bored...i can see doing 2 albums, but 3?  this is gonna kill 'em.  the Jon is gonna nail it though.  not sure about Downes though.  he has a rough time with wakeman's parts.  hopefully he'll make them his own.

Any idea which venues will be getting two albums and which will be getting all three?

Posted By: davemuttillo
Date Posted: December 11 2012 at 23:58
Postscript thought ... these shows aren't going to be that long. If they play two albums its 90 minutes. Three albums will be 135 min tops ... I just watched Jimmy Buffet who is almost 70 play a show of 140 minutes plus and Rush cranked out a 150 plus minute show ... And we can leave off Transatlantic cranking out a 180 minute show.

I think on the Yes website it has which dates will be only 2 albums due to time restrictions, probably the venue rules.

If they wanted to get everyone's attention, they'd reprise the original classic lineup and tour with "Tales from Topographic Oceans," Roger Dean set and everything!

That's about the only way I'd be tempted to go see them again.  The 35th Anniversary Tour performance in Chicago was so perfect, I really don't want to botch up the memory.

Maybe I'll try to catch the Connecticut show. It'd be wild to see Yes live, but the videos I've seen of them play live recently haven't been so good...

This actually puts me off.  If I see them, I would go to the Reno show, where they will be performing only the Yes Album and Close to the Edge.  Having seen them half a dozen times before, the only song from these albums I have not seen them perform is A Venture.  Now, if they do a 30-minute version of it, I might be tempted, but I don't find that likely.  I love their music, and they are one of my favorite bands ever, but I would like to see them do something new and/or different.  This sounds like yet another classic Yes concert set.  A great set, especially for those having never seen them before, but for me, it is just the same old same old.

Yes won't do Fragile, because it has this solo pieces and only Steve and Chris are still in the band.

I saw the Union tour which, despite the accompanying album, was simply amazing. I have no intention of seeing any of the recent mash-up lines ruin the image for me.

Four shows were fulfilling enough for me:

San Francisco, March 1972, opening for Black Sabbath (!) Wow
90125 Tour, Salt Lake City
Union Tour, Salt Lake City
Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe, Portland, 1990

Would like to have seen Fly from Here Tour, but they didn't come to "my" town. Too bad; could have been a free gig as an old family friend from Australia is now Mrs Squire.

RIP, Yes

didn't see this till just now, definitely trying to go to the SF one. Going For The one isn't my favorite Yes album but seeing all of The Yes Album and Close To The Edge would be ridiculous

I'm not gonna see them until Jon Anderson (and in preferrance Rick Wakeman) comes back.
This is the worst Yes lineup ever.

Then you won't be seeing them at all 'geneyesontle'. I have seen Jon live solo several time now, including the last show from the front row. Jon is simply too frail to tour the way Yes does. And he does not have the vigor or energy to front the band in a full live show. Jon is great, he is Yes to me. But, he simply is not in a physical state where we could take even a vigorous 90 minute show night after night.
