Hello everyone. I am Aparajith from India. I am thinking of restarting an experimental project I did a year back. This project has been my dream for several years and I really want to see my dream come to reality. This is something I don't think anyone has done before. Last year, I did a death metal styled music which introduced Indian classical elements into it in a genre I call Carnatic Metal. This year, I would like to revive the project. But with a more different style of music. I have started developing a great liking for progressive rock and I am not that much into death and heavy metal nowadays. Therefore, I would like to introduce a progressive rock/metal style along with the Indian classical elements into the music. A healthy mix of feel and technicality found in prog rock + the subtle progressions of Indian classical music. What I really felt lacking in this project is a proper prog rock keyboardist who can add the vintage prog sound of a Hammond organ, use mellotrons or organs during emotional segments and use orchestral or symphonic components. Importantly, I want to heavily implement an orchestral style sound to this project. I couldn't find the right people in India for this project as not many are into this style of keyboard playing here. So, those who are interested in giving a try can inbox me. This will be a long distance collaboration done virtually and I would like to do a couple of songs first to see how it goes. I will attach a link to the demo I did last year to give a basic taste of what I envisage. [This collaboration is not going to sound similar to this demo. It will be a lot different as I didn't use any progressive elements in this demo back then and it had a lot of metal components in it.] The project has one guitar player & vocalist, bassist, classical female vocalist, violinist and a drummer (me) all based in India. Below is the link to the demo. http://soundcloud.com/asamkhya/kalighna-janma
Thanks for the time....
