There is al lot of good progbands out there who almost nobody have ever heard of.

I would therefor like if anyone out there who plays in a prog-band posted a link to their homepage or a soundclip by the band they play in.

I myself play in a band called Ligyrophobia, who are currently doing studio work.

I create Progrock ! It´s not really a band. Maybe, an one-man-band....
Maybe soon I´ll find some proggers, but they´re rare !

Here are some examples of my lonely sessions...

http://nilsbergholz.de/music/nils%20bergholz%20-%20im%20nebel.mp3 - Im Nebel

- misty sounds

http://nilsbergholz.de/music/nils%20bergholz%20-%20astral%20confusion.mp3 - Astral Confusion

- very proggy, I think
http://nilsbergholz.de/music/Nils%20Bergholz%20-%20Faustische%20Klaenge.mp3 -

http://nilsbergholz.de/music/Nils%20Bergholz%20-%20Faustische%20Klaenge.mp3 - Faustische Klaenge

- weird, but prog, I guess

http://nilsbergholz.de/music/Nils%20Bergholz%20-%201984.mp3 - 1984

- impressions of orwell´s 1984

http://nilsbergholz.de/music/Nils%20Bergholz%20-%20Track2.mp3 - music for an amateur-pc-game

- but also slightly proggy

I must admit that I didn't download your stuff, Syndromet, once I realized it was all midis. Midis really do suck, and I didn't want to get the wrong impresion.

Nils B: Astral Confusion was really cool! Gave me the vibes of early Mike Oldfield.

Myself, I'm not really in a band, but we're a few friends who've made a couple of tracks. Here's the completed one: http://www.geocities.com/navyseinemp34/11hour.htm - www.geocities.com/navyseinemp34/11hour.htm
Would probably sound better if we did it today, but whattheheck. I guess it's cool that you've developed...
If two people try to download it twice within an hour, that bloody Geocities server is likely to shut itself off for an hour, so, try again!

Click on sounds and pick a song.  These are unmastered and unmixed demos which (on the CD) will segue together...so they may end abruptly.  Let us know what you think!

Hi Syndromet,

thanks !

I have an aversion to midi as well. So I couldn´t really get lost in the music....

@ bityear :  Oldfield ? Really ? this wasn´t my intention...but I love Oldfield...

I must say you guys out there make great music!

Here is the links to the membola project noise. This is not meant to be heard as songs, but are intended as soundtrack to a modern art short movie, where they are quite effectfull.

I attempted this once. We got about a week under us and then we stopped

Truth was the people i had in the band preferred other styles of music, and everything couldn't gel together.

O well, maybe another day.

Actually not all the songs are prog but you'll get the idea.

my band - six songs are available to listen to.

http://www.myspace.com/mikeharveyandthejazzdemons - www.myspace.com/mikeharveyandthejazzdemons

we're looking for a new drummer and if we can ever find a keyboardist around here, that'd be cool. someone in the new jersey area would be ideal. anyone interested? just click the link.

we're definitly progressive, delving into jazz fusion, hard riffs, big funk, jazz, sometimes a bit avant-guard here and there. there would be lots of improv since we jam a lot too (not really represented much on the songs on the myspace page though)

Your songs sound good for midi, really good, as in if real musicians were playing rather than the computer it would be really awesome. The bass lines are very impressive and the (sax?) is really good. Percussion is really good too.

thanks. people always say, 'that'd be awesome if they were real instruments'

it's tenor sax and trombone. my ideal small horn line. once we get a new drummer, we can get the band in motion and play and record these songs (plus any new ones that come out of the band (since i wrote all the songs on the myspace))
