Oxygen is highly dangerous. Remember: All murderers breathe oxygen every day!

I like to keep my consumption down to about 21% in any one lungfull - any more than that is just too dangerous.

I enjoy it a lot mixed with nitrogen, argon, carbon dioxide, water vapor and some other gases.

I am too much used to it to give a proper description. The only thing I know is that it is best used for inhalation in a 20% solution in a mixture as described in refugee's post. I would not be able to tell about my experiences without oxygen.

Oxygen is a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_element" rel="nofollow - chemical element with symbol O and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atomic_number" rel="nofollow - atomic number 8. Its name derives from the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_language" rel="nofollow - Greek roots ὀξύς (oxys) ("acid", literally "sharp", referring to the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taste#Sourness" rel="nofollow - sour taste of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid" rel="nofollow - acids ) and -γόνος (-gοnos) ("producer", literally "begetter"), because at the time of naming, it was mistakenly thought that all acids required oxygen in their composition. This compound is an important part of the atmosphere, and is necessary to sustain terrestrial life.
Oxygen is a member of the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chalcogen" rel="nofollow - chalcogen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_%28periodic_table%29" rel="nofollow - group on the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Periodic_table" rel="nofollow - periodic table and is a highly http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_reaction" rel="nofollow - reactive http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonmetal" rel="nofollow - nonmetallic element that readily forms http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chemical_compound" rel="nofollow - compounds (notably http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxide" rel="nofollow - oxides ) with almost all other elements. Because it comprises most of the mass in water, oxygen comprises most of the mass of living organisms (for example, about two-thirds of the human body's mass http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxygen#cite_note-5" rel="nofollow - [6] ). Oxygen was independently discovered by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carl_Wilhelm_Scheele" rel="nofollow - Carl Wilhelm Scheele , in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uppsala" rel="nofollow - Uppsala , in 1773 or earlier, and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Priestley" rel="nofollow - Joseph Priestley in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiltshire" rel="nofollow - Wiltshire , in 1774, but Priestley is often given priority because his work was published first. before my op, they put a mask on me, some liquid in my arm, and then wheeled me into the surgery area.
I remember seeing a light shine on me, they marked my abdomen with an arrow, then i woke up to a nurse saying, "welcome back"
Yeah oxygene.... it is kind of important even when you are under anesthetic

I disagree. The social effects of oxygen are tremendous: 100% of all traffic accidents are caused by drivers under the influence of oxygen. There is a clear correlation between mental illness and oxygen abuse. What's more, oxygen has been proven to reduce the willingness to work and thus make a contribution to society: 100% of all people who are currently unemployed in the United States have been linked to oxygen abuse in the past.
Not to mention that the stuff is so addictive that withdrawal for as little as a few minutes leads to death. Therefore, the government should start a horribly expensive and ineffective "War on Oxygen" that fills our prisons with oxygen users while murderers roam free. OXYGEN - JUST SAY NO!

I think it's Jarre's best work, although he probably didn't generate it on the first try. Maybe started out mixing up a bit of hydrogen seeing as it's the most abundant matter in the universe next to mayo and threads about Genesis.
I used to breathe in the weekends though. That was however out of a balloon...

I love fresh evening air ... that's why I don't want to breathe it every day. Nonetheless I breathe it every day (as long as it's diatomic). I see no reason for myself not to do that unless I'm practicing holding it in under water.

The problem, as I outlined earlier, is that you can't quit it because withdrawal inevitably leads to death. We should set up an initiative to keep newborn babies from ever coming in contact with oxygen to begin with.

Real answers to stupid questions
IS OXYGEN BAD FOR US?
Answer: We can't say Oxygen is bad for us.... we might say oxidation is bad for us.Yes Oxidation of certain molecules release free radicals which damage the cells leading to several diseases. Antioxidants terminate these chain reactions by removing free radical intermediates, and inhibit other oxidation reactions by being oxidized themselves.
Although oxidation reactions are crucial for life, they can also be damaging; hence, plants and animals maintain complex systems of multiple types of antioxidants, such as glutathione, vitamin C, and vitamin E as well as enzymes such as catalase
