I have type one diabetes, and all that adrenaline and fear, and the rush of it all would pretty much guarantee my blood sugar dropping dangerously low, throwing me into a diabetic coma. So, no.

I think there needs to be a new extreme sport that consists of going down in the ocean in a submarine with the express purpose of swimming back to the surface.

There's a lot more incentive built into that activity.

The thought of free falling makes my skin crawl. I guess I'd probably do it in extreme circumstances (like, if someone REALLY wanted me to, and paid for it), but I guarantee I'd be screaming like a little girl.

What do you mean?
a) Adrenaline/anxiety would only raise blood sugar, never lower it
and
b) It would definitely go up, but it would be incredibly rare for a hyperglycemic coma to occur, never mind a hypoglycemic coma to occur.

I know, from first hand experience, that lots of adrenaline, fear, and lots of physical activity can lower my blood sugar.

Yeah I would, it must've been awesome, in both senses of the word. And considering the prep and work with NASA and etc I would've actually felt much safer doing this over sky diving.
Though after this no roller coaster would ever be fun so that's a downside

Fear is not rational, fear of low beams and door-frame lintels would appear more rational, but then that's not so much being fearful as being prudent.

I have gotten hurt more than once on low beams and doorways, twice resulting in trips to the emergency room. When I eventually go bald everyone will be able to see the scars, and I can be a stunt double in horror movies.

I like to think I would, but it seems like a bit too much empty macho posturing to say HELL YEAH while sitting here in front of my computer. But I've gone bungie jumping and ridden every roller coaster/free fall ride I've been in a position to go on, so I think there's a good chance that if I somehow convinced Red Bull to give me a balloon I'd go through with it.
